Whitney Parker Update

Whitney Parker is so fun these days. He is still my sweet boy most of the time who likes to share and help with Pierson.

He talks a mile a minute at home but in public he is still pretty shy. Someone from nursery called him the strong, silent type.

He wants to know EVERYBODY'S name. He is constantly asking me "Who's that names that?" That's exactly how he asks. Characters on TV, people at the library, strangers in the store. He also has an impressive memory and remembers their names in the future.

I love when he gets really excited about things. His eyes get really wide and he repeats whatever he's excited about over and over.

Still eats breakfast and lunch really well but dinner is a no-go. For dinner he likes pasta, mac n cheese, quesadillas, teriyaki chicken. That is pretty much it. Oh and don't even think about putting vegetables on his plate. 

He has become very particular about how he likes things. When we are putting away toys, they have to be in the exact spot and facing the right way. He doesn't like his food touching or even on the same plate. He has to fix his dresser drawers when clothes are sticking out. He doesn't like when his hands are messy and will ask to wash them throughout the day.

Getting dressed is the worst part of his day. In the morning he doesn't want to take pajamas off. At night, the clothes he cried about putting on he doesn't want to take off.  Some days are worse than others but in general he doesn't like to change.

Can pretty much count to 10. If it was a test he would get an 80 or 90%. He has something against 5 because he misses it almost every time.

Still can recognize all the letters but can't say them in order yet. 

Is going potty on the toilet more often but still not potty trained. I plan on waiting until I'm getting a full night of sleep.

Loves to do actions to songs but is not a fan of singing. 

Likes to watch Curious George, Thomas and Friends and Disney movies. He likes to give us the play by play of what's happening while he's watching.

 Recognizes the Target bullseye and the Safeway S. Those are our two most frequented stores.

Sleeps from 8:30-7ish and still takes a good 3 hour nap. 

I love my little boy and I can't believe how he is growing.
